Bronze Courses

At Kingston Pool we offer courses for the qualifications of Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion & Bronze Cross from the Royal Life Saving Society of Australia (RLSSA).

These courses are run on demand.

About Bronze Medallion The Bronze Medallion award certifies a qualified lifesaver. The course consists of theory and practical sessions and assessments including: 400m swim, timed tow, survival and rescue skills, spinal injury management and rescue initiative. After successfully completing the course, participants are awarded with both the Bronze Medallion and the RLSSA Resuscitation certificate. As part of the resuscitation award, the course covers the techniques of CPR including modifications for children and infants, emergency care topics, use of bystanders to contact emergency services, mouth to mouth, mouth to nose and mouth to mouth resuscitation, one and two operator CPR. The Bronze Medallion is a highly valued award and is required to gain employment in areas such as the Police force, and is also a great personal award to have.
